The Tonkunstler-Orchestra presents its concerts as impressive film recordings from the Grafenegg Auditorium! These two concert films with Yutaka Sado, Kyohei Sorita, Mei-Ann Chen and Tobias Feldmann are characterized by exclusive film aesthetics, haunting perspectives and extraordinary tracking shots. Popular masterpieces from the orchestral repertoire, such as Sergei Rachmaninoff's deeply moving Piano Concerto no. 2 and Antonín Dvořák's symphony no. 9 «From the New World» fascinate audiences with their haunting interpretations by well-known guests with the Tonkunstler-Orchestra.

CONCERTO for PIANO No. 2 & FINLANDIA
Piano Kyohei Sorita
Conductor Yutaka Sado
Tonkünstler-Orchester

For many people, Sergei Rachmaninoff's Concerto for Piano No. 2 is the epitome of enthusiastic musical sensitivity. Which interpreter would be better suited for this than the young Japanese Kyohei Sorita? He became a pianist because he wanted to give people dreams. The 2nd part of the concert is dedicated to pictorial musical storytelling: The chief-conductor Yutaka Sado conducts the symphonic poem «Finlandia» by Jean Sibelius.
